Check Out This Petrifying Virtual Reality Roller Coaster Coming Out Soon
Six Flags Magic Mountains announced that its latest addition is among the over-the-top experiences to date, but won’t take up the same space as the traditional theme park ride. “The New Revolution: Virtual Reality Coaster” is the name and you will actually be chasing enemies through large cities while seated behind the cockpit of a jet.
Six Flags, Samsung Gear VR and Oculus have partnered together to make this virtual reality coaster a reality. Just like being on a real coaster, the people wearing the headsets will be able to view the sites around easily without being strapped in the back of your chair due to the ride’s momentum.
The New Revolution will be taken for a test drive on Saturday, March 26 and it’s open for those with pass holders to the theme park.
With Oculus or PlayStation VR, the Virtual reality experience is felt while at home, but Six Flags is introducing special touches that cannot be experienced from a couch. The feeling of the room making the same movements as the ride will be brought about by gyros and accelerometers constructed on the ride.
You can take a ride while viewing the experience through a massive standard screen instead of a headset if you are not a VR enthusiast.
