Companies Creating VR Products for iPhone
Even though Apple hasn’t entered the virtual reality space yet (or at least not announced it), third party hardware companies are creating designs for VR products that utilize the iPhone.
Gene Munster, Piper Jaffray analyst, predicts that VR products specifically made for the iPhone will be released in Fall of 2016.
IonVR, a private company that specializes in third party VR hardware plans on releasing a headset in Fall that would allow iPhones to be used for VR. The cost will be $100 to $200.
Currently, the iPhone can be used with Alphabet’s Google Cardboard and Mattel’s View-Master.
