Phosphor Games’ VR Title ‘The Brookhaven Experiment’ Taking Over China
Phosphor Games made public on May 12th, a contract with Shunwang to put its HTC Vive game, The Brookhaven Experiment which would be released soon, into special VR zones in Shunwang’s 100,000 Chinese Gaming Cafes. Shunwang directs over 70% of the largely populated iCafes in China, getting across to over 110 million gamers every year. As one of the main independent gaming studios, Phosphor turned out to be the first US Company to ever sign a direct distribution agreement with Shunwang. Early reports show that The Brookhaven Experiment is as successful with Chinese gamers as it is here. People endure long queues wherever Brookhaven is played to encounter what Polygon called “Vive’s scariest horror game.”
