Playstation VR versus Oculus Rift versus HTC Vive
When it comes to the information displayed on the screen, HTC Vive and Oculus are alike. They both have OLED displays with a 2160*1200 output, making it 1080×1200 for both eyes. However, the PlayStation VR has a 90 to 120 Hz, giving it the upper hand.
When it comes to tracking technology, HTC and Oculus do the best work. Having a weight of less than 600 grams, Vive headset has more than 30 sensors in the helmet and around 70 in the motion wands and they work together giving the user the designed effect. Oculus weighs around 477 grams and works with the USB IR lead, which develops a 3D environment where a person can move around.
The PlayStation VR is able to sense its motion using the camera which is able to provide 360 degree head movement.
The HTC and Oculus have simplified wands with PlayStation VR having the one that’s capable with the most gadgets. And when it comes to system requirements, HTC has more requirements compared to Oculus and PlayStation VR. Each VR gadget has its particular price, HTC costing the most.
