SXSW Accelerator Program Buzzing with VR

South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, TX just wrapped up. Their Accelerator Pitch Competition has 48 startup companies compete against each other in front of judges. The competition has been going on for 8 years now.


Two of the companies that won in the six categories, were virtual reality companies. One of those companies is Splash. Splash is a virtual reality social network. The other company was Vantage TV. Vantage TV is a VR software that was created for live events.

SXSW Accelerator organizer, Chris Valentine, said, “It’s very interesting to know how (the pitches) were received by a younger generation dbf fascinating how quickly they adopted it.”
